Lee is a former golf player who is currently the CEO of a steel company. Hwang publicly acknowledged their relationship in December.
“We first met through a mutual friend, developed our relationship and decided to stay together forever,” she said, adding that she was drawn by Lee’s continuous support during her busy year, which was packed with acting projects.
The wedding date and venue are not yet confirmed.
Hwang dated singer Kim Yong-jun from SG Wannabe for nine years and ended their relationship last year.
Hwang appeared in two of last year’s most successful dramas — “Kill Me, Heal Me” and “She Was Pretty” — and established herself as the one of the most sought-after actresses in the industry.
